Dangers of Religion - Tay Tay Edition

More on my thoughts in regards to the Taylor Swift being the work of Satan nonsense.

Let us back up to several years ago to start this freight train.

Taylor Swift was the poster child for the far right, white supremacists of this country. The Neo-Nazis were claiming her as the poster child for what they felt was the ideal woman, and praising her music. And she fed into this all by being totally silent on the topic. Presumably, she was being told by her publicity team to stay quiet because it would reduce sales or maybe she was just too busy to even pay attention - you know, being as touring musician pumping out records.

But then something did happen. She finally did speak out, and she spoke out against these white nationalists and Neo-Nazis, and even Donald Trump when he incited the January 6th riot on the Capital Building.

Soon after that, the far right denounced Taylor Swift and began their big time push to slander her name in the same circles that mere months before she had been praised within.

Now, years have passed since then, but if you pay attention to when the surfacing of the AI generated demonic Tay Tay pictures, along with the various conspiracy theories of her being Satan's sin pusher, it coincides with when the far right swaths began pushing for Trump to be back into the forefront of the Republican party.

And this makes sense. The Republican party has pretty much utilized religion as their biggest push for power for decades now. Even though they stand for pretty much the exact opposite of what Jesus' teachings supposedly were, the religious have never been good at actually understanding the beliefs they supposedly follow anyway. That is why there are thousands of branches of Christianity alone - one for each major way of interpreting the supposed infallible holy book.

But, the mass ignorance of the world aside, and I got taken off topic a bit, the ole Tay Tay started displaying support for acceptance of others, started showing support for the liberals of the country, and promoting everything the Republican party has been fundamentally building their fan base around for decades.

Enter the conspiracy theories now.

The amount of people in the comments of posts claiming her to be some supreme evil typically go something like this - I used to like her music, but.... - and followed by some lame duck reasoning that she has started going against what the poster believes in, or how her music just isn't good anymore, or any number of other things that likely never would have even been felt or thought about before the person posting saw how evil she is.

And essentially what that does is just remove the 'ole Swift as someone they would even respect the opinion of. Take her out of the equation to prevent someone from critically thinking about anything Taylor Swift would even say. And because religious people are already believing in something without even the smallest shred of evidence, and likely have also attached it as some part of who they are - it is part of their whole identity - and ole Tay Tay is just a musician, it is easy to drop her out of their life and write her off.

And the accounts that these posts that her evil servitude are stemming from aren't even trying to hide the fact that they are far right, racist, and ultra religious. And like every major collapsed society that has come before now, the perpetrators of these posts are starting the spread of such nonsensical drivel amongst the people inside the most gullible circles. In which, those people take it and let it spew out far and wide

And it would be one thing if it was just that, but the push to claim her to be evil is so hot and heavy that you can't scroll Facebook or YouTube without seeing these conspiracy theories spreading far and wide.

It is really remarkable, actually. The same thing that happened on a very wide net scale with fake news (which, obviously, is still tremendously prominent through YouTube and Facebook), is what is happening on a micro scale with Taylor Swift being a harbinger of the end times.

I do have to commend her, though. These things seem to have not slowed her down whatsoever. So, again, either she is exceptionally good at ignoring things, or, more probable, she is busier than you or I can actually imagine. I mean, she did put on a show in Tokyo, then hop on a plane to make it to the Superbowl all while producing a new album and re-recording older albums.

But more than that, if someone can't see how all this activity is MORE evil than anything that the musician in question has done, then that someone is likely part of the problem to begin with.
